I'm sure everyone working with word for no matter what reason had this problem in the past or is having it right now. If you came to read this from a search engine, right now, you don't know how to make a landscape page in word without making the whole document landscape. This is a very common problem, especially when we are trying to create big tables and we need a page in a horizontal position.

Here is what you should do to make one of your pages landscape: When your typing cursor is on the page you need to set as a landscape page, go to the File tab from the upper Word main menu and click on Page Setup. A window will appear where you can make the settings to your document. In this window, go to Paper Size tab, and at the Orientation setting check Landscape. At the Apply To setting select This point forward. Click Ok to apply the settings you made.
Now your page is landscape, but you will notice that when you finish writing in that page the next page will be landscape to. With the typing cursor on the second landscape page go again to File and click Page Setup. Now check Portrait at the Orientation setting and This point forward at the Apply to setting. Click Ok and your pages are back to normal. The single horizontal page is the one you needed.
This steps are tested and works with Word 2000. Probably, this works on other Word versions as well.
Hope this small tutorial can help you.
