What should I do if the domain name I want for my website is not available?

In most cases you have only two options if you wish to buy a domain name that already have an owner:

• you can buy the domain name from the owner
• or, you can consider in choosing a different domain name.

This choice depends of who registered the domain name. Some people named "cybersquatters" often buy domain names to resell them for a bigger price. This is a business for them. Some companies are willing to pay thousands dollars for the domain name they want.

In other cases, the domains are bought by other companies and the domain are not for sale. In this case your only option is to search for other domain name available.

In some cases there is a third option, when the domain you want is your registered trade mark. In this case the owner doesn't have the right to use it and you can obtain it by justice.
