The promotion of a website can either make or break the success of it although it should be noted that a considerable amount of care should be adopted when choosing a prospective marketing method. This is not only because there is always the risk of spending your money on a less than efficient method of marketing, but also because you may be classed as a spammer. This is an issue that is especially acute in the context of email marketing , and there has been horror stories of website owners conducting email campaigns and failing miserably.
Be prepared to alter and tailor your email campaigns to match the exact email host provider which a potential/actual customer has otherwise you run the risk of the dimensions of your email failing and becoming warped. Not only will this mean that the message becomes lost in a messy garble, but you run the risk of being deemed a rank novice as well as your messages being casually dismissed as spam.
Many website owners are loathe to rely upon email campaigns for fear of being branded a spammer, and this is not just professional courtesy (as they worry about their professional reputation) but also genuine concern. The law has been very quick as well as firm at cracking down against would be spam, and so even if you spend “spam” negligently, you can still find yourself on the bad end of a lawsuit.
One of the surest ways to both ensure that you guarantee the effectiveness of your email campaigns as well as protect yourself from being deemed a spammer is to ensure that you only ever send email messages to those people who have specifically opted in for further contact. This means you can significantly improve your ROI (return on investment), and therefore get a lot more “bang for your buck”.
If you are uncertain as to the logistical details involved in the process of email campaigns, your best bet is to make sure that you rely upon the services of a professional to do the grunt work for you. These email marketing consultants will be intimately aware of the best steps to adopt in order to get the best possible results, and they will also have direct, first hand experience with the law regulating the usage of email as a marketing tool. Some balk at the idea of having to pay for such a professional service, however when you compare this to the money you would waste trying to achieve a decent result, the balance quickly becomes apparent.
