In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to remove red eyes from photos. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy the red eye reduction can be and how realistic your image can look at the end. You don't need to be a Photoshop expert to do this.
Your original image most probably looks like this one, or even worse.

But don't worry, it will look perfect after you will fix the red eyes problem.
First of all, you should create a new channel mixer adjustment layer in the layers tab, just above the layer with the original image. Now set the Red channel to 0%, the Green and Blue channels to 50%. Now, your image should look with new colors, like in the image below.

Next step, you should select the mask of the channel mixer layer and using the Paint Bucket Tool, fill your image with Black. (very important: the mask of the channel mixer layer should be selected to obtain the desired effect). You image colors should be now back to normal and the eyes should be red again.

Select the Brush Tool, set it's size the same size as the size of the red spot in eyes and paint on the mask layer with White color (over the eyes).

When the red eye problem is solved, go to the layer tab in the top bar menu of Photoshop and hit Merge Visible. Now the original image and all the applied effects are merged into a single layer.

The red eye reduction process ended. Save the image and you are done!
