Installing Patterns in Photoshop. Easiest way to install patterns in Photoshop.

In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to install patterns in Photoshop. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to install new patterns in Photoshop.

Right click on the layer you want to apply a pattern to and click on Blending Options. The layer Style window will open. Here you can apply several effects to it. Select the Pattern Overlay effect. The content in the right part of that window will change with pattern settings. Click on the Pattern Picker Arrow to display all the patterns you have installed and which you may apply. Another small window will pop up. Notice the arrow of this new window in the upper right corner. Click on that arrow to display the options menu. After the options menu will pop up click on Load Patterns .

A window will open. Here you can search on your computer for pattern files. Select the pattern file you want to install and click on the Load button.

You can notice that new patterns were added to your available Patterns window. Your patterns are now installed and they are ready for use.

As you can see in the next image I have applied a pattern to my shape from the new installed patterns.
