In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to make a 3D text effect. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to create a 3D text effect.
Let's use the text in the photo and try to apply a 3D effect on it. This is the easiest way to create a 3d effect to a text or an object using Photoshop.

Right click on the layer with your text inside the layers window and click on duplicate layer option. Once you have done this, you will notice a new identical layer appeared. Select this new layer and move it one pixel right and than one pixel down. You can do this very easy with the arrow keys on your keyboard. Just hit the right arrow one time and down arrow one time. You should do this with your new layer selected.

Now repeat the previous step on the new created layer. Do this several times with the new created layers untill the thickness of your 3d effect is big enough.

When you are done with this, right click on the last of your layers, the one in fron, and click on the Blending option. Select the Outer Glow effect. You can play with it until you are satisfied with the result.

In my example I choose the white color for the Outer Glow effect and I have increased its spread and size values. You can see the look here.
