In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to create reflection to object. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to create reflection to object.
First of all to make the reflection looks right you have to erase the objects' background. If you can't handle this here is a tutorial on how to remove the background of an image.

After the objects' background is removed, go to the layers box and right click on the layer with your object and select the "duplicate layer" option. This will create a new layer with your object. Move it under the original object and also move this new layer under the layer of the original object in the layers box. Just like in my example, you can see the new leyer selected.

To make a proper reflection of the object we will need the new object positioned with the up side down. Once you have duplicated the object and moved it under the original object, with the new layer selected go to the Edit section in the upper menu, go to the Transform Path area and click on Flip Vertical. This will flip your object with the up side down. You can see the result in the next image.

Now, right click on your new layer and click on Blending Options. We need to apply a gradient on our object. Select Gradient Overlay option and after that edit the default black to white gradient. Make sure the gradient angle is 90 We will change the two colors to the color of our background, in this case white. Your whole object will be white at this moment. Now, change the opacity for the white color that will be on the top area of your object. With the gradient angle set to 90 that's the color from right. In our example, we reduced the opacity to 60%. Move the opacity point of the other white color (the one from the left) so a bigger part of your object to be filled with white. If you prefer the reflection to be bigger than in my example, you can leave it as it is.

After you click the ok button to apply the previous settings you will see the result of your object's reflection.

Good luck and enjoy other great tutorials from our website.
