Make a photo black and white. Easiest way to make a photo black and white with Photoshop.

In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to make a photo black and white. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to make a photo in black and white.

We will use this image to show you how simple it is to make a color photo in black and white. First of of all you have to open the image you want to make in black and white.

Once the image si open go to the Image section in the upper menu, click on Adjustments and than Desaturate. This option will remove all the colors from your photo.Your image will look something like in my example, but don't worry, we will make it look better.

For a better look you have to adjust the brightness and contrast of the photo. Go to the Adjustments option again, in the Image section, and click on Brightness/Contrast... This option will let you adjust the luminosity and contrast of your image. How you need to modify the Brightness and Contrast values will be different form photo to photo. In this example I've increased both of them. You may see the result in the next image. For your image, just play with those values, until you have the desired result. When it looks good apply the changes by clicking on the OK button.
