In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to add watermark to a photo. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to add watermark to a photo. Learn how to add watermark to a photo.

We will use this image to add a watermark to it. First of all we open the photo in Photoshop.

Let's select the Type Tool in the Tools box. Set the font type, size and color as you want. You can type a horizontal text and than, if you wish you can rotate it by 90° as in my example.

Once the text is typed right click on the text layer in the layers box and click on the Blending Options. Now you can apply some styles to your layer. In my example I've added a 2 pixels white stroke. You will see in the next step why I have applied this effect to the text.

In the layers box, make sure your text layer is still selected. Notice there two option Opacity and Fill. Set the Fill option of your text layer to 0%. This way, your layer color will not be shown. The only thing it will remain will be the stoke effect I added before.

Now, modify the Opacity option of the layer to a lower value. In my example I set it to 25%. You can set is as low as you wish to look good on your photo. The idea is to be visible, but not too visible, otherwise it may ruin the overall look of your photo.
