In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to make a photo look old. Just follow the steps of this free Photoshop tutorial and you will see how easy is to make a photo look old. Learn how to apply a sepia effect to a photo.

Let's make this nice looking and colorful photo to look old.

First step is to desaturate the image (make it black and white). To do that go to the Image section in the upper menu, click on Adjustments and than Desaturate. For a better look you may also need to adjust the brightness and contrast to the photo.

When your image is black and white go to the Image section in the upper menu, click on Adjustments and than on Photo Filter. You can select a brown/orange color to use. Increase the color density value while your photo looks like in my example.

You can see here the final result, left is the original image and right is the older looking image with a sepia effect applied.
